About
Josh Groban is coming to Dubai with GEMS World Tour!
Josh Groban is an American crossover vocalist and songwriter known for blending classical, contemporary and pop styles. Since the start of his career, he has earned multiple gold- and platinum-certified albums, performed on major world tours, and become one of the most recognised voices in modern classical crossover music. His vocal range — moving from upper baritone into tenor — has made him a standout performer for more than two decades.
Born in 1981 in Los Angeles, Groban studied at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts before attending Carnegie Mellon University. Early in his career, he was introduced to award-winning producer David Foster, a collaboration that led to his signing with Warner Brothers Records. He soon toured with Sarah Brightman and featured on her La Luna DVD, gaining international visibility and working alongside artists including Elton John, Charlotte Church and Stevie Wonder.
Groban’s 2002 self-titled debut album went double-platinum and led to performances at global stages such as the Nobel Peace Prize Concert and the Vatican Christmas performance. His 2006 single You Raise Me Up earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, while his third album, Awake, achieved double-platinum status in both the United States and Canada. In 2007, he completed a world tour spanning 71 cities.
His 2010 album Illuminations featured 11 songs written by Groban and reached No. 4 on the US Billboard chart, selling more than a million copies. All That Echoes (2013) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and further cemented his place as a global touring artist. Groban has also performed at several high-profile international events, including a PBS live special, the NFL Super Bowl, and the Concert for Diana at Wembley Stadium.
With a strong following across the Middle East and a history of drawing audiences from the UAE and the wider region, Josh Groban continues to be recognised worldwide for his powerful vocals and genre-spanning artistry.
